It appears to me that they aren't going to do away with it, but rather soften it and try to protect private property as much as possible.
I agree too, eminent domain is vital to state and city growth and development.
However this is a necessity for Osborne because rumor has it he is pro-school consolidation and well the rest of Nebraska isn't (excluding Omaha and Bellevue schools).
