Heineman does have a shot...

FYI: Heineman can win this election, but I'm sure he would have rather seen Jesus enter the NE Governors race than Tom Osborne.

1. Heineman brings a wealth of political background that Tom lacks.

2. Heineman has done a great job of traveling the state and getting his name in the news. The Governor has the ability to make news on a daily basis and he's is doing it.

3. Heineman will roll out the new economic package that he created with the Legislature.

4. Heineman visited towns devistated by flooding and thunderstorms in Central Nebraska. He also stumped for federal disaster aid.

5. Tom only wants 4 years and that has hurt him so far, now he will have to say he will work for 8 but then he loses credibility.

6. Going for 2 in the Orange Bowl.

7. Heineman developed and maintained Nebraska's branch of Homeland Security.

8. What has Tom done, what is he going to do?

9. State Legislators enjoy working and visiting with Heineman.

10. And finally, because I'll be volunteering for Heineman.

I don't think Tom would do a bad job as governor but I think Heineman would make a better one. Also, as a Republican I believe that when we have a solid incumbent there should be no challengers. Heineman has worked hard and deserves this position and I don't believe he should have to step aside because Tom wants to play governor for 4 years.
